A easy, but not as accurate method to perform a polar alignment  in situations where Polaris is not visible (during the day or in obstructions) is to use the alignment function available in the Polar Scope Align Pro app.

The alignment function relies on:

  • The magnetometer in your mobile device
  • Using shadows cast by the mount or tripod to calibrate the compass.

Step

1

To activate the Daytime Alignment tab on the icon to activate the alignment feature

2

Tab on the icon and follow the description provided by the app.
