Everything you need for a successful astro photo session:
- Select a suitable target object that will be clearly visible at the planned time
- Checking the weather conditions ahead
- Choosing the right equipment for the selected object
- A good observation point with little light pollution and little obscuring of the sky by trees, buildings, etc.
- Clear and really dark skies (Bortle 3 or lower)
- ... and a lot of time and patience
