Background Improvement using the Photoshop 
Tone Curve Adjustment

The Photoshop function New Adjustment Layer > Tone Curve can be used to correct unwanted areas of the image that contain a glow in the background.

Open

EN: Menu > Selection > Color Range 
DE: Menü > Auswahl > Farbbereich

  1. Select recorded colors
  2. Adjust tolerance
  3. Click OK

Open

EN: Menu> Select> Select + Mask
DE: Menü > Auswahl > Auswählen und markieren


  1. In View Mode select 
    Selection marker (M) 
  2. and Activate high quality preview
  3. Adjust contrast + soft edge
  4. Click OK

Adjust soft edge, contrast and move edge and click on

Open
EN: Menu> Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Tone Curve

 
DE: Menü > Ebene > Neue Einstellungsebene > Tonwertkorrektur)


leave the proposed name as it is

Adjust the tone curve sliders until you are satisfied with the result.

Enter a new layer If you want to repeat the steps 1 to 6 on other areas of the image or to perform a Selective color boosting in Photoshop.


EN: Menu > Layer > New

DE: Menü > Ebene > Neu

Save the picture under a new name -

 or continue color boosting on other color areas by first adding a new empty layer, then repeat steps 1 to 4
