Previous editing steps always used unstretched or linear images. If these were exported, the result would be a mostly black image. Therefore, the final image must be stretched in the last step.
This chapter will show you ways to achieve a stretched final image.
- Histogram Stretch: this is the traditional and the simplest approach
- Masked Stretch: may lead to a flatter image which need further image stretching
- Generalized Hyperbolic Stretch: a script approach to the final stretch
