Purpose

Add missing astrometric data into the files

Menu Script > Image Analysis > Image Solver

Note: to avoid missing astrometric information after using the FBPP and WBPP Pre-Processing Batch tools make sure the the Astrometric Checkbox is checked ON in these tools.

Later steps will require Astrometric data (OBJCTRA and OBJCTDEC) to be included in the FIT, FITS or XFIT header of the integrated file. 


How to update the OBJCTRA and OBJCTDEC coordinates

In order to reintegrate the astrometric data into the files, a plate solving (Image or Plate solver) should be carried out. Depending on the brightness of the image background, a background improvement may have to be carried out first so that the image solver does not fail.
